What Spark has done at Heidelberg

    Ownership in practice.

Real investment is a better argument than a list of capabilities. Since taking ownership, Spark has:

    • 01Invested in new laser cutting and folding capacity to lift throughput and bring work in-house
    • 02Built an in-house powder coating plant so finishing is controlled on site
    • 03Revived robot welding to take repetitive welding off skilled tradespeople
    • 04Built a production throughput system that gives the floor a daily plan and management a daily number
    • 05Rebuilt the sales teams of both businesses and restructured production management under a single Production Manager
    • 06Kept both businesses trading under their own names, with their own customers and their own accountability

    Growing the group. Deliberately.

We add a business when we can be a genuine permanent owner of what its founder built, and when it makes the group stronger. That means substantial businesses that can stand on their own inside the group, and specialist bolt-ons that fit alongside what we already own. We take our time, and we do not buy for the sake of buying.
