Spark Equity exists because good Australian industrial businesses deserve a permanent owner who understands them. It was founded by an operator, it owns and runs real businesses, and it is built to own them for decades.

Will founded Spark Equity to give good Australian industrial businesses a permanent home.
Before Spark, Will founded Sports Performance Tracking (SPT) in Melbourne and built it into a global athlete-tracking business with customers in more than 170 countries, before selling a majority stake to a European strategic acquirer. He has been on both sides of a transaction: as the founder selling a business he built, and as the acquirer buying businesses from their founders.
He acquired Ultralift Australia and Westberg Sheetmetal and runs them alongside their management teams from Heidelberg West. His week is spent inside the businesses, on the factory floor, in sales and in the numbers, rather than above them as a financial investor.
Will's approach to ownership draws on the permanent-capital compounders: businesses that buy well, hold, reinvest and let time do the work.
Spark understands owners because it is built by one.
